The History of Social Work
The History of Social Work
George Brown was appointed lecturer in social work on a U.S. Vocational
Rehabilitation grant. He held an A.B. degree from Tufts University and an
M.S.S. degree from Boston University. He had held administrative positions
in the Lapeer State Home, the Detroit Consultation Center, and the Plymouth
State Home and Training School. He developed and supervised field
instruction learning and taught courses in the area of rehabilitation, departing
from the university as assistant professor in 1966.
